 What's the problem?

Trafficking is a world-wide and fast-growing problem.  Some people are trafficked into this country from abroad but there is a growing issue that British people are being trafficked.  We have been shocked to see recent news reports about grooming gangs who have systematically groomed, abused and trafficked children and young British people.

 Facts and Figures 

In the UK in 2015, 3,266 people were identified as potential victims of trafficking. This is a 40% increase on 2014 figures. (National Crime Agency, 2015)

Of the 3,266 potential victims of trafficking identified in 2015, 982 of these were children. (National Crime Agency, 2015)

1.2 million children are trafficked every year worldwide. (Unicef Estimate)
